16 Primitivo Gioia del Colle DOC 2015

Deep, ruby color with garnet inclusions. Aroma of mulberries and black cherries, with shades of herbs, licorice and graphite in the background. Fresh and juicy on the palate, of fine-grained tannin. The long finish resembles a wonderful echo. - Gerardo

I Giganti Isola dei Nuraghi Rosso IGT 2016

The color in the glass is a dark ruby red with garnet highlights. The nose is intense, with hints of red fruits and spices, underpinned by balsamic notes. The palate is soft and warm, balanced by finely honed tannins and freshness. - Gerardo

The namesake giants are a reference to the giants of Mont'e Prama, formerly freestanding sandstone cult statues of the Sardinian nuragic culture. In 1974, the farmer Sisinnio Poddi plowed out the head of one of these statues on the Sinis Peninsula. The forty years of excavation campaigns brought to light other statues, nuraghe models and wall remains. The age of the giants of Mont'e Prama indicates that the oldest free-standing large sculpture in Europe was created in Sardinia, even before a similar development began in Greece.

Sanct Valentin Cabernet-Merlot Riserva DOC 2017

Cabernet and Merlot are recognized worldwide as high-quality grape varieties. For the production of Cabernet-Merlot Sanct Valentin only grapes from particularly sunny vineyards are used. The yield is extremely low, the grape varieties are vinified individually. First produced in 2013, Cabernet-Merlot Sanct Valentin is a premium, extremely complex red wine with fine tannins. It is the only cuvée that is part of the Sanct Valentin prestige line. - Gerardo

Cabernet Riserva DOC 2015

Characteristic of this wine is the dense purple color with light garnet reflections. The nose is marked by distinct barrique spice as well as roasted coffee and background aromas of cassis and dark berry fruit. The palate is powerful and elegant, of present tannin and good length. - Gerardo

This masterful Lagrein bears the signature of oenologist Matthias Hauser: in the glass it presents a dense purple red with violet reflections and black core. The aroma is reminiscent of cassis, blackberries and some elder supported by subtle notes of violets, which are repeated on the palate along with some fresh raspberry. - Gerardo
