Formerly 'De Piano', the Fallwind Merlot-Cabernet is the first red wine cuvée of St. Michael-Eppan from the grape varieties Merlot and Cabernet, both of which have been native to the vineyards of South Tyrol since 1850. Brilliant golden yellow. Dense of dried apricots, of mango, orange peel, medlars, dates, pistachio cream and vanilla, also of citrus. S.J. is a newer label and is classified as a high quality IGT wine: 'San Jacopo' ('S.J.') is a blend of mainly Sangiovese, which comes from the winery's clones, and a small amount of Merlot, which also comes from the Bandita vineyards.
