Novello | Classic
Novello, also known as young wine, nouveau, primeur or Beaujolais nouveau is a specialty wine produced mainly in Italy, but also in France, Austria or Spain. It means a wine known for its youthfulness and effervescence, fermented and bottled still in the year of harvest and put on sale without long bottle aging. The arrival of the new Novello is celebrated every year and eagerly awaited by wine drinkers throughout Europe.
Since the classic fermentation methods are too slow, the Novello is vinified very quickly through artifice, which produces an exceedingly fresh and young-fruited red wine. The Novello is the first wine that can be sold already in the year of its production, namely from the 15th of November. This form of marketing has made the Novello known worldwide. - Gerardo
