Magnum Bottles | Red Wine
Magnum, double magnum and even bigger wine bottles, are considered snobbish. In reality, they are great because winemakers bottle only their best vintages in them. In the large bottles, the wines mature much more evenly and harmoniously, as the quantity is almost comparable to a small wine barrel. The wines from the large bottles are characterized by high integrity and balance. The cost of such bottles does not simply pay two or four times the price of 0.75 liters, since they are usually filled and corked by hand. - Gerardo [TS07/22]
