The top wine from the Cantina del Vermentino is a blend of Cabernet-Sauvignon, Sangiovese (which has always been grown in Sardinia) and the two indigenous grape varieties Carignano and Cagnulari. Depending on the vintage, other red Sardinian complementary grapes are sometimes added. 'Galana' was first released with the 1997 vintage and ages for a minimum of 13 months in wooden barrels and another 10 months in bottle.
