Passito wine Ben Ryé is the sum of a unique pedoclimatic system, painstaking, attentive, patient work and a small dose of technology. On the nose opulent of peach and apricot notes followed by a multifaceted succession of sweet hints of dried figs, honey, wild herbs and mineral accents. then on the palate 'Ben Rye' impresses with complex fusion of spice, sweetness and softness; in the lingering finish harmonious return of the aromatic palette. - Gerardo [TS06/22]
"Radiant amber with golden accents. Opens complex on the nose on notes of stewed pears, dried apricots, dates, caramel, a touch of acacia honey. Stretches out a big dress on the palate, extremely layered, with juicy play, ripe yellow fruit, noble looking, mouth-filling, yet very balanced over the course with a long expressive finish." - Falstaff
Gerardo's Notes: The name Ben Ryé comes from Arabic and means 'son of the wind', because in Pantelleria the wind always blows among the grapes, bringing with it numerous scents so intense that you can almost touch them. The label praises the love, care and effort of the heroic cultivation of grapes on a unique and fascinating island. A flattering and engaging image that reveals the essence of the island.
