Donnafugata, Sicily
The new Passiperduti is a single varietal Grillo of bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The bouquet is multi-faceted and deep with floral notes of lavender and broom, enriched by citrus nuances and mineral hints. The palate offers good structure and is spicy, mineral and persistent; a wine of marked complexity and elegance. - Gerardo [TS06/23]
Gerardo's Notes: The name and the label remind us of the serenity and inner peace when we contemplate nature. Passiperduti is a poetic wine, capable of evoking some of the most representative verses of Italian literature: „L’infinito“ by Giacomo Leopardi. 'Sempre caro mi fu quest'ermo colle, e questa siepe, ... Ma sedendo e mirando, interminati spazi di là da quella, .... mi sovvien l'eterno, ...e il naufragar m'è dolce in questo mare.'
