Gerardo's Notes: The heat-retaining, porphyry soils in the classic growing area of St. Magdalena near Bolzano produce the grapes for Gröbnerhof. These are various varieties of the Vernatsch grape as well as a small proportion of Lagrein grapes, which are traditionally grown in mixed sets. Gröbnerhof tastes excellent in combination with light Mediterranean cuisine, but also with typical South Tyrolean dishes.
