The grapes come from the Kleinsteiner farm in Signat near Bolzano: bright straw to golden yellow color in the glass. The bouquet is distinctly fruity-aromatic, of peach, roses and some cinnamon. Full-bodied and pleasantly spicy on the palate, with slight residual sugar. - Gerardo [TS12/19]
"Sparkling pale golden yellow. Clearly marked, intense nose, scents of lychee and caramelized pineapple, some fennel in the background. Very clean and straightforward on the palate, compact, opens up on the back end with a fireworks display of tropical flavors, very long finish." - Falstaff
Gerardo's Notes: The Höfe line embodies the best possible interaction between grape variety, soil characteristics and microclimate. The special grapes from selected sites produce expressive, varietal and complex wines. This Gewürztraminer grows on warm porphyry slopes on the Ritten, above Bolzano at 650 meters above sea level. The Kleinstein is full-bodied and complex, accompanying shellfish and Asian dishes as well as aged cheese and bacon.
