Chardonnay DOC 2023

  The Chardonnay from the Girlan Winery in South Tyrol is a prime example of the fine art of white wine production in this region. The grapes come from the high altitudes of Oltradige and Bassa Atesina, at 300 to 450 meters above sea level, where calcareous and clayey soils and the continental climate provide ideal conditions for growing this grape variety. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are gently pressed and the must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is also aged in stainless steel to preserve its freshness and fruitiness. This Chardonnay is characterized by its clear structure, lively acidity, and fine minerality, making it an excellent aperitif or accompaniment to light dishes.

In the glass, the Chardonnay presents itself in a light straw yellow with greenish reflections. The bouquet is characterized by delicate aromas of green apples, citrus fruits, and a hint of flowers. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively, with a fine acidity and a pleasant minerality that gives it a certain depth. The finish is harmonious and of medium length.
