Vetrère, Puglia
This Primitivo grows in vineyards whose sixty-year-old vines are traditionally grown as small trees (alberello). It is aged in barrique for eleven months, followed by several months of bottle aging. A Primitivo of ruby red color with purple reflections. Its aroma is reminiscent of wild berries and spices. The palate is fresh with a soft finish, warm on the palate with ample round tannins. - Gerardo [TS12/21]
