Great, light and fruity Valpolicella from the medium price range: ruby red color. On the nose present and persistent aromas reminiscent of blackberry and cherry. On the palate soft, slightly tannic and tasty. The grapes of Rio Albo come from vineyards in Montecchia di Crosara, which have particularly valuable soils rich in limestone. Bucciato is a real specialty and the orange wine from Ca' Rugate (long before this name even existed): fermented like red wine on the skins, the wine gets much higher extracts, more body and aroma. Due to a certain residual sugar content, the wine appears very pleasing, but not sweet.

Fulvio Beo is a sparkling wine made purely from Garganega grapes. Garganega is the grape variety of the famous Soave Classico: straw yellow with greenish reflections, this sparkling wine has a fine and persistent perlage. Fulvio Beo Rosato is a rosé spumante made from 100% Molinara. This is one of the grape varieties of the famous Valpolicella: coral pink with nuances that go towards salmon. On the nose there are aromas of small berries, currants and strawberries and delicate hints of almonds. - Gerardo [TS06/23]

Studio · Veneto Bianco IGT 2021

With the Studio project, Ca' Rugate is exploring new limits in winemaking. This single-varietal Trebbiano di Soave comes from vines that are over 40 years old and pushes the boundaries of what is possible: The fermentation process deliberately progresses slowly and part of the wine is aged in French barriques before being bottled and further refined due to subsequent bottle ageing.

Ca' Rugate is breaking new ground with this study of the Veneto terroir, and it will certainly not be the last. Intense straw yellow color. On the nose, a bouquet of pout pourri and green tea with light notes of white-fleshed fruit and flint. The palate is enveloping, dense but not heavy. This new, somewhat simpler Amarone version enjoys a shorter maceration period as well as a slightly shortened aging in barrique: the color is an intense garnet red, with ruby inclusions.
