Cornalin | Grape variety

The Cornalin grape variety, an autochthonous specialty from the picturesque Aosta Valley, embodies the alpine identity of this unique wine region like no other. Nestled between high peaks, old stone walls and small terraced vineyards, the Cornalin grape thrives in a challenging but character-defining microclimate. Its origin is reflected in the elegance and depth of the wines made from it: deep red in color, with aromas of dark berries, spices and a hint of alpine herbs. The wines are powerful, but never overloaded, and are characterized by their freshness and fine tannin structure - characteristics that make them excellent food companions.

Historically closely linked to the region, Cornalin was for a long time almost exclusively appreciated locally. Today, the variety is experiencing a well-deserved renaissance as more and more winegrowers recognize its potential and develop it with sensitivity. Cultivation requires patience and care, as the grape variety is demanding, but the result rewards with authenticity and character. Cornalin is not only an expression of the Aosta Valley, but also a piece of living viticultural culture - a pleasure that brings the Alpine heritage to life with every sip. - Gerardo [TS05/25]
