Price Scales

The price of a bottle of Italian wine is just as broad as the range of grapes and wine varieties: from simple wines by the glass around five euros, to good drinking wines in the price range between five and ten euros, to premium wines whose prices know no bounds. Not only the quality of the used grapes, the kind and the craft skill of the wine production as well as the development play a role. The number of bottles produced also has an impact on the price of the wine. Expensive wine icons are usually only produced in small quantities, whereas wines that accompany food are produced in much larger numbers.

In the following selection you will find all wines in stock sorted by price scale. This includes red, white, rosé and sparkling wines in all available formats. The price scales are divided into coarser categories and finer subcategories to facilitate your selection. If you click on one of the lists, you also have the possibility to scroll back and forth between all lists. - Gerardo [TS07/22]

The price of a wine often reflects more than just its market value - it symbolizes the care and dedication with which it was produced. The higher the price, the more care, expertise and manual work is involved in the entire production process: from the targeted selection of old or high-quality vines and a reduced yield in the vineyard to the gentle and time-consuming vinification in the cellar. In many cases, mechanical processes are deliberately avoided in order to produce wines that are as unadulterated and close to nature as possible. This additional effort not only ensures a more complex result in terms of taste, but also a product with greater ecological integrity.

High-quality wines are also characterized by a depth and differentiation in taste that wines from the lower price segment rarely achieve. While cheaper wines are usually uncomplicated and pleasing, they are often very similar in expression. It is only from a certain price range upwards that the connoisseur can experience a wealth of nuances, structure and individuality - characteristics that make the wine tangible and reflect its origin in a recognizable way. Those who are prepared to invest a little more not only discover better taste, but also support sustainable, quality-conscious winemaking. - Gerardo [TS07/25]
