Greco Bianco | Grape variety
Greco Bianco, probably the best-known indigenous white grape variety in southern Italy, unfolds its splendor mainly in the sun-drenched vineyards of Calabria. There it can be found in the characteristic Ciro Bianco and Melissa Bianco wines. The name alone raises suspicions about its Greek roots, but this assumption has yet to be confirmed. Greco Bianco embodies not only the history and terroir of Calabria, but also the sophistication and diversity of the Italian wine world. - Gerardo [TS03/24]
