The quality of a wine is a concept inextricably linked to the area of origin and the people who produce it'. Since 1969, the pursuit of the highest quality and constant improvement has been paramount. The winery 'Le Ragose' is located in the municipality of Negrar (province of Verona), locality of Arbizzano, and extends at an altitude of 250 to 400 meters above sea level.The total area of the winery is 32 hectares, of which 18 hectares are planted with vines.

The cultivation system 'Pergola Trentina Semplice' is suitable for the cultivation of autochthonous grape varieties of Valpolicella, thanks to the right choice of stocking density and rootstock vines. Other important aspects are the orientation and the angle of inclination of the pergola, as well as its careful maintenance. The deep layer of soil is composed of Eocene sandstone, an ideal reservoir of moisture. On the surface, red and brown clay alternate with volcanic rock (toar).

Le Ragose was founded in 1969 by oenologist Arnaldo Galli and his wife Marta, and is now run by their two sons Paolo, a business economist, and Marco, an agronomist. Paolo's daughter Marta, who has a degree in management, represents the third generation of the family business. - Gerardo [TS02/23]
