Italian Distilleries | Stories
A distillery is a company that specializes in the production of grappa, fruit brandies and other distillates. It is usually an artisanal or industrial operation in which high-quality raw materials such as grape marc, fruit or grain are processed and refined through distillation. Many distilleries source their raw materials from the local area and attach great importance to traditional production methods. They often market their products directly on site or via selected retailers. Distilleries come in a wide range of sizes, from small family businesses with artisanal production to large distilleries with an international reach. - Tobias Gerhard Strunz
