Villa Antinori is the symbolic wine of the House of Antinori. The year was 1928 when Niccolò Antinori, father of Pietro Antinori, decided to give the name of the family's villa to this wine, the first Chianti Classico to be released for aging and refinement, to represent his personal interpretation of the Chianti and Tuscan identity. Since then it can be found in the most prestigious wine cellars of embassies, royal houses, grand hotels and restaurants.Three years later, Villa Antinori Bianco was born from the traditional Trebbiano grape variety. Villa Antinori is a milestone. Its name is linked to almost a century of history, and at the same time Villa Antinori represents continuous progress and a certain idea of wine production with the continuous aim of reaching an ever higher level of quality.

The drawing on the label with the representation of Villa del Cigliano symbolizes the concept of the house, the territory, Tuscany. 'The French have their chateaux? Well, we have our villas!' was how Niccolò Antinori jokingly justified the choice of the illustration, which was innovative for the time.

This year, Villa Antinori, produced by Marchesi Antinori, was chosen as the official wine of the 2023 Ryder Cup, one of the most important golf events in the world, to be held in Rome at the Marco Simone Gold and Country Club.
