Villa Antinori Rosso was created in 1928 by Marchese Niccolò Antinori and has since been considered a milestone in the history of Tuscan viticulture. It was not just a wine, but a commitment to quality and the innovative spirit of the Antinori family, which continues to this day. Originally conceived as a modern expression of Tuscan grape varieties and traditions, Villa Antinori Rosso quickly developed into an ambassador for the family - at home and abroad.

With its deep ruby red color and aromatic profile of ripe red fruits, spicy notes and a hint of vanilla - thanks to careful ageing in wood - this wine embodies the interplay of origin and zeitgeist. On the palate, it is velvety, round and structured at the same time, with fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity. The cuvée of Sangiovese and international grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot gives it complexity and ageing potential. The Villa Antinori Rosso is therefore much more than a traditional classic - it is a modern, elegant wine with depth and personality that sums up the self-image of one of Italy's most important wine houses. - Gerardo [TS10/22]

"Intense ruby with garnet. In the nose with noble wood aroma, fragrant, of violets and ripe cherry, reverberating fresh blackberry and wild berries. On the palate juicy and clear, with fine course, slightly juicy-salty reverberation, correct." - Falstaff

The Villa Antinori Rosso from the renowned Marchesi Antinori family in Tuscany is an impressive expression of Tuscan winemaking, combining tradition and modernity. Its cuvée, which combines the classic Sangiovese variety with international grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and occasionally Syrah and Petit Verdot, offers the best of both worlds: the authenticity of the land and the sophistication of international style. The vineyards of the Antinori estates are characterized by calcareous and clayey soils in the hills around Florence, where a combination of warm days and cool nights promotes balanced grape ripening. In the cellar, the grapes are carefully harvested, destemmed, gently fermented, and aged for months in small barriques and large wooden barrels—a process that gives the wine depth and a fine-grained structure.

In the glass, Villa Antinori Rosso displays a bright ruby red color with violet reflections, visually emphasizing its vitality and elegance. The bouquet opens with aromas of ripe cherries, plums, and red berries, flanked by spicy nuances of vanilla, cedar wood, and tobacco, which are characterized by barrique aging. On the palate, this wine unfolds with velvety tannins, elegant fruit, and subtle spice, giving it a long-lasting and characterful finish. This wine is equally stylish with fine foods such as pan-fried meat, mature cheese, or Mediterranean ragù, and is an excellent representative of the Tuscan wine tradition in a modern, international style. - Gerardo [TS10/22]
