Vincenzo Bruna and his wife Silvana use only their own Ligurian olive oil and fresh, regional ingredients to make their pesto genovese. The recipe is based on traditional family recipes that have been preserved and passed on with the utmost care. The star of this traditional specialty is Basilico Genovese DOP, which is known for its intense aroma and delicate texture. Complemented by pine nuts, Parmigiano Reggiano, pecorino and a pinch of garlic, the pesto develops its unmistakable, fresh taste. Use it classically with pasta and rice, as a topping for tomato slices, as a spread for bread snacks or to refine soups and dressings.
