The traditional bakery from the heart of Piedmont has stood for outstanding quality and authentic craftsmanship for decades. It all began in 1945 in the small community of Rocchetta Tanaro, when the first village oven was opened. What began as a modest bakery developed over generations into a respected company that is now appreciated worldwide for its specialties.

The grissini, an ancient and inimitable recipe of the Fongo family are made of flour, water, olive oil and salt and only the expert processing makes them so extraordinarily delicious and tasty, the ideal accompaniment to appetizers and main courses. On special request, our baker's grissini are prepared by Mario Fongo entirely without lard (but with high quality extra virgin olive oil). - Gerardo

Mario Fongo's grissini are the result of a traditional family recipe that goes back to a long tradition of Piedmontese baking. Made from high-quality flour, water, olive oil and salt, they owe their exceptional crispness and unique taste to the careful artisan processing. A special feature of these grissini is the sprinkling of durum wheat semolina, which gives them their characteristic rough surface and perfect bite.
