Nestore Bosco: tradition and innovation in the vineyards of Abruzzo
The historic Bosco winery has its origins in the hills of Pescara, but forty years ago the family decided to settle in the welcoming and inspiring atmosphere of Nocciano. This place is flanked on one side by the Maiella massif, recently declared a UNESCO Global Geopark, and on the other by the Gran Sasso. Nestled in the picturesque hilly landscape of Pescara's hinterland, the vineyards benefit from a microclimate characterized by the gentle sea breeze. Here, in this almost untouched environment, the history of viticulture in the region becomes tangible.

The roots of Nestore Bosco
The Nestore Bosco winery, located in the province of Pescara, looks back on a tradition dating back to the end of the 19th century. It was founded by Giovanni Bosco, a visionary whose concepts were deeply rooted in the history and culture of his homeland. Giovanni combined traditional values with a willingness to innovate sensibly and gradually in order to put the winery on a solid footing and meet the challenges of the future.

Tradition and innovation
Stefania and Nestore run the winery, with their children already taking on tasks in the family business. The younger generation is gradually being introduced to the tasks of the family business to ensure continuity and a shared commitment to excellence.

Organic certification and basic principles
Nestore Bosco has been certified organic since 2018 and follows four basic principles: sustainable production, integrity at every stage of the production cycle, customer well-being and simplicity. The latter is reflected in the clear, transparent and direct style of their wines, which aim to reflect the terroir as authentically as possible.

Wine diversity and quality
Nestore Bosco's interpretations of the legendary Montepulciano, the region's characteristic grape variety, are exceptional. The Cerasuolo and the award-winning white wines made from Trebbiano, Pecorino and Chardonnay grapes are also remarkable.

Sustainability and environmental protection
An interesting aspect of Nestore Bosco's vineyards is the fact that part of them are located in a national park, which gives even more importance to the commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.

Preserving heritage and promoting innovation
Nestore Bosco upholds its heritage while focusing on innovation. In this way, the company remains a beacon of quality winemaking in Abruzzo, capturing the essence of the region in every bottle. - Gerardo [TS01/24]
