Il Grappolo · Rosso IGP 2022

Nestore Bosco, Abruzzo
´Il Grappolo´ · Rosso IGP 2022, Nestore Bosco, Abruzzo
The 'Il Grappolo' is a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo produced according to the Appassimento method, with a few typical regional grape varieties added to round it off. The color is a rich ruby red with bright violet nuances. The bouquet is intense and reminiscent of plums, raspberries and cyclamen. Round and intense on the palate, with a good body and long finish. - Gerardo [TS01/23]

Gerardo's Notes: The fermentation of 'Il Grappolo' took place at cool temperatures and was stopped at a precisely defined point in time. Consequently, the wine has a hint of the currently popular Appassimento residual sweetness, which gives the wine, which smells of ripe berries and plums, an intense kick.
