Fattoria Uccelliera: tradition, passion and Tuscan authenticity
Fattoria Uccelliera is more than just a winery - it is the result of passion, hard work and a deep-rooted love of the Tuscan countryside. Founded at the end of the 1960s by Antonio Bulleri and Maria Elena Poggianti, the winery today combines tradition with innovation and is already home to the third generation, who are enthusiastically involved. What once began as a modest family business has developed into a place where wine, olive oil and hospitality go hand in hand.

In addition to wine production, Fattoria Uccelliera is dedicated to preserving and caring for the unique Tuscan landscape. The estate stretches over gentle hills - the famous “poggi” - and offers a harmonious mix of vineyards, olive groves, dense forests and agricultural land. Particularly impressive are the centuries-old olive trees and the extensive stands of silver poplar (Populus Alba) that characterize the area. This sustainable cultivation not only creates excellent wines, but also provides a protected habitat for the local wildlife.



Viticulture with respect for history and nature
Fattoria Uccelliera has been committed to natural viticulture from the very beginning. The vineyards are cultivated with great care in order to keep the soil healthy and preserve the authenticity of the wines. The terroir is typical of the region: calcareous clay soils, a temperate climate with Mediterranean influences and an ideal hillside location that ensures optimal sun exposure.

The vineyards of Fattoria Uccelliera are relatively small and finely structured, which allows for particularly careful cultivation. The wines produced here are full of character, reflect the terroir and embody the typical Tuscan style. The estate's Chianti in particular stands for a centuries-old winemaking tradition and delights with its elegance and complexity. Each vintage has its own unique character - an interplay of craftsmanship, nature and climatic conditions.



A cellar with history and character
The buildings on the estate have been restored with great care to preserve their original charm. The wine cellar, where the grapes are processed and the wines aged, combines traditional architecture with modern technology. Antique materials in particular were used in the renovation to preserve the authentic Tuscan flair.

Agritourism also plays an important role at Fattoria Uccelliera. The old farmhouses have been lovingly renovated and offer guests the opportunity to relax in the midst of nature and get to know the original rural life of Tuscany. The combination of idyllic surroundings, historic architecture and warm hospitality makes the estate a very special place.



Chianti: from farmhouse wine to classic
Chianti is inextricably linked to the history of Tuscany. Once considered a simple peasant wine, it has undergone an impressive transformation in recent decades. The turning point began with the abolition of mezzadria in 1962 - a medieval form of half-lease in which farm workers worked for the urban nobility and were only allowed to keep a portion of the yield. The quality revolution of Chianti began with the introduction of the DOC designation of origin in 1967.

A decisive step was the abandonment of the addition of white wine, which had previously been used for the mass production of a lighter, diluted consumer wine. It was only through these adjustments that Chianti was able to develop its true potential and become a world-renowned top wine. Today, Chianti not only stands for the tradition of the region, but also for excellent wine quality, which is appreciated by connoisseurs all over the world.

Fattoria Uccelliera is a prime example of a family-run business that combines tradition with modern quality standards. Not only is wine produced here, but a philosophy is lived that combines respect for nature, history and craftsmanship.
