Manincor | South Tyrol
The Manincor winery is picturesquely situated above Lake Kaltern in South Tyrol's Überetsch region and represents a harmonious combination of centuries-old history, biodynamic agriculture, and avant-garde cellar architecture. Under the leadership of Michael Graf Goëss-Enzenberg, who took over the estate in 1991, Manincor has matured into one of the region's leading biodynamic wineries. The ten hectares of vineyards in select locations, an awareness of nature, and strict quality principles characterize these distinctive wines, which express both the terroir and the family identity.
Manincor's philosophy is based on naturalness - “Hand auf's Herz” (hand on heart) is not just a motto, but a maxim that is lived out every day: biodynamic cultivation takes place symbiotically with animals, herbs, and insects, and the “Cantina im Weinberg” (vineyard cellar), inaugurated in 2004, blends elegantly into the landscape. The range is wide: from classic white wines and racy red wines to rare specialties such as Moscato Giallo, Manincor offers wines with depth, structure, and fine minerality. An outstanding highlight is the elegant Pinot Noir Mason di Maso, which stands for finesse, depth, and great aging potential. - Gerardo [TS12/25]
