Thurnhof | Alto Adige
The Thurnhof, also known as Tenuta Thurnhof, is a distinctive winery south of Bolzano that combines tradition, history, and terroir with great sensitivity. The Berger family has been running the farm with passion and perseverance for six generations. On just a few hectares, wines are produced that reflect the unique microclimate and mineral-rich soil of the Virgl slopes in a special way.
The Thurnhof vineyards are located on deep porphyry and moraine soils, which give the grapes a distinctive structural potential. These sites produce both aromatic white wines such as Moscato Giallo and elegant red wines such as Lagrein, St. Magdalener, and an expressive Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva. An outstanding highlight is the Passaurum—a rare, sweet dessert wine that combines the history and innovation of the house. - Gerardo [TS12/25]
