The Sommariva family is based in Albenga, Liguria, where they have been running a traditional yet innovative oil mill for generations. Known for their passion and craftsmanship, the family business is considered a pioneer in the production of olive oil, pesto, sauces, and dips. They use only local raw materials, most of which come from natural production. The result is a cold-pressed olive oil of unmistakable quality and a pesto Genovese that, thanks to basil, high-quality pine nuts, and Parmigiano-Reggiano, is a true taste experience—a far cry from industrial mass-produced goods.

The focus is particularly on Ligurian olives, especially the noble Taggiasca olives. They are considered one of the best olive varieties and are known for their delicate, slightly nutty aroma. While most of these fruits are processed into valuable olive oil, they are also a delicacy as table olives, which can be enjoyed on their own or in Mediterranean dishes.
