Varietal, high quality Grechetto - a long-established grape variety from central Italy. Canestraro' is an expressive white wine with personality: elegant floral and fruity notes on the nose, full-bodied, soft and supple on the palate. In the aftertaste a subtle almond tone. - Gerardo [TS06/22]
Gerardo's Notes: The ancient and noble white wine variety Grechetto has been increasingly cultivated in Umbria in recent years. The vine is also widespread in Lazio and can achieve the best results in good locations. A special vineyard with ideal exposure and good soil conditions (tufa of volcanic origin) has been reserved for the 'Canestraro' at Le Quinte. The resulting single varietal Grechetto is an expressive white wine full of personality and elegance. The bouquet is of pears and almonds, and on the palate it is full-bodied, soft and very stylish. A good friend of the haute cuisine.
