Fine, single varietal Syrah from Lazio: Dense, dark and bright red in the glass. The bouquet announces violets, small berry fruits and a bit of green pepper. The palate is rich, dense and concentrated. Although the origins of Syrah refer to Syria and the Rhone Valley, Nasyr is good proof that this grape variety can also achieve excellent results in Lazio. - Gerardo [TS06/21]

Gerardo's Notes: Until then, Syrah from Lazio was rather unknown until winemaker Riccardo Cotarella caused a sensation with Tellus from Falesco. The grape is perfectly suited for cultivation in the area around Rome, and even much smaller producers - including Tenuta le Quinte - do a great job: 'Nasyr' gains its strength of character and the slightly peppery aroma from the single-varietal Syrah grapes. In addition, the aging in small barrique barrels brings some vanilla into the aroma. A great red wine for moderate money, for any occasion which requires a good red wine.
