This Malvasia Bianco 'Orchidea' is the flagship of Tenuta le Quinte and a rediscovery of white Malvasia del Lazio:
Intense straw yellow color with golden reflections. Its intense aroma recalls peach, apricot and passion fruit underlined by spicy herbs. On the palate dry, yet fruity of smooth, almost creamy envelope. Present in the aftertaste with a pleasantly light bitter note. - Gerardo [TS06/22]

Gerardo's Notes: 'Orchidea' wird ausschließlich aus handgelesenen, vollreifen Trauben der wiederentdeckten Lokalrebsorte Malvasia del Lazio gewonnen. In ihrer höchsten Ausdrucksform bringt diese antike Rebsorte aromatische und komplexe Weine hervor. Das typische, blumige Bouquet zeigt sich auch hier und erinnert an exotische Früchte. Im Dialekt wird diese Rebsorte auch oft als 'Malvasia Puntinata' bezeichnet, was sich auf die kleinen Punkte bezieht, welche die Beeren aufweisen.
