The history of Antica Tenuta del Nanfro goes back far into the past, but it was not until the early 1990s that the modern winery was given its present form. The family winery from Sicily is run by the two brothers of the Lo Certo family, who are also the owners of Nanfro. The winery has 32 hectares of its own vineyards as well as a restaurant and a small hostel. With the claim to produce independent, terroir-driven wines full of character, the winery can also hold its own against the larger competitors in the region.

The Antica Tenuta del Nanfro is a Sicilian peculiarity, because the wine market on the largest island of the Mediterranean is mainly dominated by massive wineries.
