The Ligurian Taggiasca is perhaps the best, but also the most unknown edible olive of Italy. In general it is used for the production of the famous Ligurian oliveöl. The olive is very small, almost inconspicuous, bluish-purple, but highly praised for its fine olive flavor. This olive is untreated, which explains its natural coloration. - Gerardo [TS10/26]
