Grappa di Schiava is made from the pomace of the autochthonous Vernatsch grape and has a pleasantly mild and spicy character. Typical of this grappa is the slightly smoky note, which blends harmoniously with the warm aromas of dried figs and a hint of nuts. Distillation is carried out using the traditional method in small copper stills in order to authentically capture the characteristic notes of this South Tyrolean grape variety.
The grappa is soft and balanced on the palate, with a subtle fruity sweetness on the finish that lends the distillate additional elegance and depth. It is a harmonious yet independent grappa with a regional character - an ideal digestif for connoisseurs of subtle aromas. - Gerardo [TS10/26]
