Bardolino | Classic
Bardolino is the charming, light-hearted red wine from the south-eastern shore of Lake Garda in the Veneto region - a classic among northern Italian wines. Made from the traditional grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, it impressively reflects the Mediterranean lightness of its origins. Its rosé-colored version is called Bardolino Chiaretto and impresses with its freshness and fine fruit. Particularly in the area classified as Classico, around the towns of Bardolino, Garda and Lazise, fruity, elegant wines are produced that are easily accessible and versatile. The grapes ripen on the gentle hills along the wine route, where they benefit from the mild climate of Lake Garda.
The Bardolino DOC presents itself in the glass in a bright ruby red with delicate violet reflections and seduces with an invigorating aroma of red berries, cherries and a hint of herbs. On the palate, it is fresh, dry, with subtle acidity and an uncomplicated drinking flow - ideal with pasta, pizza, antipasti or simply on its own. Bardolino is particularly popular in the warmer months of the year, as it unfolds its fruity elegance in a particularly pleasant way when slightly chilled. Anyone looking for an authentic, not too heavy red wine that perfectly combines Mediterranean joie de vivre and everyday suitability will be well served with a glass of Bardolino. - Gerardo [TS06/25]
