"Trento DOC is the DOC zone for bottle-fermented spumante (sparkling wine) in the Italian region of Trentino. The zone comprises selected sites in 60 municipalities in the province of Trento. The mostly terraced slopes and steep slopes from Vallagarina (Lagertal) to Valle di Cembra (Zimmerstal) with calcareous soils are optimally oriented to the south and exposed to strong fluctuations between day and night temperatures.
