Tenuta del Morer | Friaul
An impressive picture unfolds before our mind's eye: a fertile piece of land, once animated and now abandoned. We are in the fifties, and Severino Lorenzon is at the beginning of his great life's work. The land extends over an area of five hectares, with its faithful ally, the Isonzo River, and a lush flora that proliferates everywhere. This is where the fascinating story of I Feudi di Romans begins.
Grandfather Severino's dream brought the family together, and over time his son Enzo and grandsons Nicola and Davide have continued to sharpen the contours of that dream. But the real secret lies not only in the realization of the individual dream of each family member, but rather in the fact that they act together as a family. The relationship of trust that has developed over the years between the family and all its collaborators is a decisive factor in the success of I Feudi di Romans. It is an interplay of passion, dedication and a deep understanding of the land that forms the basis for wine production.
As seventh generation winemakers, the Lorenzon family continues a long tradition while bringing their own innovations and contemporary approaches. Each vineyard, each vine is lovingly tended to produce wines of exceptional quality. Appreciation for the heritage of ancestors and a connection with nature are the pillars on which the legacy of I Feudi di Romans rests. Over the years, the winery's reputation has steadily evolved, and today I Feudi di Romans wines are drunk and celebrated throughout the world. But despite the success, the Lorenzon family remains true to the original spirit that once launched their company. The story of I Feudi di Romans is not only the story of a wine company, but also the story of a family that, with passion and determination, has realized its dreams while maintaining a deep bond with nature and its land.
In particular, the white wines of Feudi di Romans are characterized by their pleasant drinkability, their present aroma and their low acidity. These assets are complemented by an exemplary typicity and an extremely attractive price-quality ratio. - Gerardo [TS01/23]
"The wine business was started in the early fifties by Severino Lorenzon, who then handed over to Enzo; today Davide and Nicola share the management of the company. Exemplary typical of the local whites, especially the clearly contoured, simple and pithy Friulano." - Gambero Rosso
