The wines of Tenuta Marilu are a tribute to the classic grape varieties of Apulia. The focus is on Primitivo, Susumaniello and Negroamaro - three red grapes that have shaped the region's wine tradition for centuries. There are also two white wines to round off the portfolio: a Chardonnay Verdeca, which combines fresh fruit and spicy minerality, and a Bianco di Alessano, a rare indigenous variety with fascinating elegance. The Rosato, made from Negroamaro, brings the sun-drenched lightness of Salento to the glass and delights with its freshness and aromatic depth.
In contrast to many other wineries, Tenuta Marilu does not use single vineyard designations and instead focuses on a clear, accessible style. The focus here is not on prestige projects, but on honest, handcrafted wines that people should enjoy. With fair prices and uncompromising quality, the winery proves that excellent Apulian wine does not have to be expensive.
