Vernaccia di Oristano Antico Gregori is a cuvée made by the solera method, with a base dating back to the early 1900s and topped up only with the best vintage. Cited by Hugh Johnson as one of the 20 wines to have tasted once in a lifetime.

The aroma is reminiscent of toasted almonds and hazelnuts, intense and complex as the aging that takes place in barrels of precious woods and lasts for decades. Velvety as an embrace, warm and dry as a tropical breeze, ideal for meditation and spicy cheeses. - Gerardo [TS12/77]
