Italian Rosé | Rosato
Rosato from Italy comes in countless variations: From the light pink of Chiaretto (generally from Veneto and specifically from the Lugana area), to the antique pink of Salice Salentino, to the vibrant dark pink of Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo. Alone the color and taste variety is difficult to put into words, because not only each region has its own rosé specialties, but also many local variants contribute to the complexity of the Italian Rosato.
Rosé is nowadays almost exclusively developed dry, the offer of semi-dry wines is steadily declining. This development is to be considered throughout positive, because the Rosato is as a dry and refreshing food companion with many dishes an optimal addition. - Gerardo [TS06/22
