Hochkofler · Riesling DOC 2022

  The “Hochkofler” Riesling from the Bolzano Winery is a prime example of the elegance and sophistication that this grape variety can develop in South Tyrol. The grapes thrive on the steep, porphyry-rich slopes around Bolzano and in the Eisack Valley at an altitude of around 500 meters above sea level. These locations offer ideal conditions for Riesling, which develops a special expressiveness here. After careful harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and the wine is fermented in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. Maturation in steel tanks preserves the freshness and clarity of the wine.

In the glass, the “Hochkofler” Riesling presents itself in a bright, greenish to light yellow hue. The bouquet is intense and complex: aromas of peach, apricot, and citrus fruits combine with delicate floral notes and a hint of minerality. On the palate, the wine is dry, elegant, and fresh, with a lively acidity that gives it a pleasant vibrancy.
