Siebeneich · Merlot Riserva DOC 2017

  The “Siebeneich” Merlot Riserva from the Bolzano Winery is a prime example of the craftsmanship of South Tyrolean winemakers. The grapes thrive in the warm, fertile soils around Siebeneich near Bolzano, where they reach full ripeness under optimal conditions. After traditional red wine fermentation, the wine is aged for about a year in French barriques and large wooden barrels, which gives it additional depth and complexity. The name “Siebeneich” refers to the historical significance of the place and the winegrowing tradition cultivated there.

In the glass, the “Siebeneich” Merlot Riserva presents itself in a deep, dark ruby red. The bouquet is intense and complex: aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, and dark cherries combine with spicy notes of cinnamon and fine herbs. On the palate, the wine is dense and complex, with velvety tannins and a long, harmonious finish.
