Marna · Chardonnay DOC 2023

  The “Marna” Chardonnay from the Girlan Winery in South Tyrol comes from an exclusive location in Überetsch at an altitude of 450 to 530 meters, whose limestone- and clay-rich loam soils with limestone deposits give the wine its name (“Marna” = marl). The grapes are harvested by hand, gently pressed whole and then aged in two parts: half in stainless steel and half in large wooden barrels. This combination of freshness and structure gives the wine an elegant minerality and a distinct character of its origin.

In the glass, Marna Chardonnay delights with a clear straw yellow color and subtle greenish reflections. The bouquet reveals nuances of pear, citrus fruits, and white peach, accompanied by subtle notes of wood and vanilla. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with harmonious acidity, crisp fruit, and a salty, mineral depth that continues into an elegant finish.
