Freienfeld presents itself in the glass of rich, ruby color with slightly brightening edges. In the aroma alpine marked of ripe wild berries, peppermint and pine. On the palate of present, fine-grained tannin and animating acidity. - Gerardo

Gerardo's Notes: 'The name Freienfeld goes back to the Renaissance estate of the same name in which the Kurtatsch winery was founded in 1900. Already at that time the potential of the sun-exposed dolomite-limestone soils and especially their suitability for the grape variety Cabernet-Sauvignon was recognized. Freienfeld is, without exaggeration, a South Tyrolean legend: It is the rarest and best Cabernet Sauvignon in the region.' - Gerardo
