Pinosé · Blauburgunder Rosato DOC 2022

  The “Pinosé” Pinot Nero Rosato from the Kurtatsch Winery immediately reveals its origins through its color and style: in the hillsides of South Tyrol's Unterland region—where red sandy and loamy soils with clay minerals give the wine depth and nuance—Pinot Nero vines thrive in a cool microclimate. Vinification follows the saignée principle, i.e., gentle extraction of the must without vigorous pressing; fermentation and maturation take place in stainless steel tanks, which preserves the variety's delicate expressiveness and freshness.

In the glass, Pinosé shines in a delicate coral red with a vibrant shimmer—a visual promise of lightness and elegance. The nose reveals fresh aromas of raspberries, wild strawberries, and red currants, underpinned by floral notes and subtle spice. On the palate, the Rosato is juicy and lively, with a noticeable tannin structure that offers an unusual amount of structure in a rosé; the finish is clear but animatingly long.
