Calto Rosso is a wine with a strong character that impressively reflects the creative signature of the Campedelli family and the philosophy of the Marion winery. As a personal reinterpretation of Amarone, it combines traditional techniques with a modern, independent expression. Even in the glass, it reveals itself in a deep ruby red with only slightly lightened edges—a first indication of its concentrated power. The multi-layered bouquet unfolds aromas of red berries, fine licorice, and spicy tobacco, which combine to form a complex and inviting fragrance composition.
On the palate, Calto Rosso is velvety and balanced, supported by a smooth tannin structure and clear, harmonious lines. The structure is present without being dominant, giving it elegance and depth. The long, multifaceted finish ensures a lasting taste experience and clearly sets this wine apart from classic Amarone styles.
