Cuvee 'Sias' DOC 2012

  The Cuvée Sias from the Merano Winery charmingly combines complexity and lightness: the blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon, and Muscat makes it a stylish white wine blend that harmonizes the elegance of the Burgundy variety with the freshness of Sauvignon and the delicate aromas of Muscat. The grapes grow in the mostly terraced vineyards in the Merano area, whose diverse soils and the interplay of alpine and Mediterranean climates give the wine its origin. Treated with great care—from careful hand harvesting and gentle pressing to cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks—the wine displays a clear signature: terroir, stylistic purity, and accessible structure.

In the glass, Sias shines in a light straw yellow with greenish reflections and reveals a delicate bouquet of ripe pear and white peach, accompanied by floral notes and a subtle hint of nutmeg, which gives the wine its dignified character. On the palate, there is a harmonious combination of fruity richness and smooth texture, supported by light minerality and a gently animating finish.
