Oppidum (Latin for 'settlement') is made from the local grape variety Moscato di Terracina, the grapes come from 35-40 year old vines. The wine is dry, highly aromatic, and of varietal bouquet: complex notes of exotic fruits, dried rose petals and sage. The wine has an enormous complexity and a remarkable finish. Oppidum is one of the really interesting dry Muscat wines in Italy. - Gerardo [TS06/21]
