  The Lafòa Gewürztraminer from the Schreckbichl Winery is a prime example of the high level of craftsmanship in South Tyrolean winemaking. The name “Lafòa” refers to a pilot vineyard where new standards for quality and grape variety selection were set in the 1980s. It was here that the idea arose to produce wines of exceptional elegance and longevity through reduced yields and selective harvesting. Gewürztraminer thrives in the best locations in South Tyrol, where the combination of loamy limestone gravel soils and an ideal microclimate creates optimal conditions for the ripening of this demanding grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes are gently processed, followed by aging in stainless steel tanks, which preserves the freshness and fruitiness of the wine.

In the glass, Lafòa Gewürztraminer presents itself in an intense straw yellow color with golden reflections. The bouquet seduces with aromas of yellow roses, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon, accompanied by a delicate fruitiness. On the palate, it is powerful and spicy, with a lively acidity that gives it remarkable freshness. The finish is long and harmonious, with a subtle minerality that reflects the wine's origin.
