Argiolas | Sardinia
Argiolas is a renowned winery on the Italian island of Sardinia and is one of the leading wineries in the country. The history of the winery dates back to 1906, when Antonio Argiolas Senior began to grow wine in the Serdiana region. Since then, the winery has continuously evolved and is now owned by the fourth generation of the Argiolas family.
The winery is known for its unique and characterful wines made from autochthonous grape varieties of the region. One of the winery's most famous wines is Turriga, a powerful red wine made from a blend of Cannonau, Malvasia, Carignano and Bovale grapes. This wine was first produced in 1988 and has since become a symbol of Sardinian viticulture.
In addition to Turriga, the winery also produces other high quality wines such as Korem, made from a blend of Bovale, Carignano and Cannonau grapes, and Is Argiolas, a fruity and elegant white wine made from the Vermentino grape. In addition, the winery also produces dessert wines such as Malvasia di Bosa, a sweet wine made from the Malvasia grape, which is highly appreciated for its high quality and taste.
The Argiolas winery has received numerous awards and recognitions over the years, including the prestigious 'Tre Bicchieri' from the renowned Italian wine guide Gambero Rosso. These awards reflect the passion and commitment of the Argiolas family to the production of high quality and authentic wines that reflect the beauty and character of the Sardinian countryside. - Gerardo [TS03/23]
"An infinite amount has been written about Argiolas. The winery is, after all, one of the most prestigious in Sardinia, and it has built on this reputation year after year, so that today it is a model for many competitors on the island. However, the real strength of the wine house in Serdiana is its family cohesion. Based on this, they knew how to increase the fortune of the founder Antonio Argiolas accordingly. Here, everyone has their precisely defined area of responsibility, be it in the vineyard, sales or marketing. This ultimately results in a wine program of the highest quality, which is increasingly making quota and can be received in many countries around the world." - Gambero Rosso
