The idea behind Gaudio is to create an Umbrian Merlot with international appeal - and Corrado Bottai has succeeded: The intense bouquet is reminiscent of dark berries and blackberries, mixed with vanilla and smoky notes. On the palate, it is powerful and complex, with a long-lasting finish.

Gaudio is the result of the synergy between a non-indigenous grape variety and the potential of the terroir. Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC 2009

An extensive bottle maturity is given to the most powerful wine of Le Ragose: The Amarone della Valpolicella. The two Galli brothers are in no particular hurry with the vintage rotation - well aware that time for bottle aging is one of the basic requirements for the highest quality Amarone products.

The concept of terroir is particularly well expressed in this wine, the Amarone is the result of the interaction of different micro-areas and micro-climates. Et. Oro Spumante Brut Millesimato MAGNUM DOC 2004

Pittaro produces the Spumante Millesimato only in particularly good years. The very healthy grapes must have an optimal acidity and sugar content. First the base wine is created, the high-quality basis for the sparkling wine production with a long fermentation process in the bottle. The sparkling wine matures on the fine lees for six years before these are removed in the final step and bottle maturation begins. Caloetto · Amarone della Valpolicella DOC 2009

From the highest point of the highest vineyard at Le Ragose comes the Amarone Caloetto. The terraced vineyard faces southeast on steep slopes and is well above the 'nebbia' (fog) common in the Veneto lower down.

This Amarone clearly shows the Le Ragose signature: wines with dense, grippy tannins and acid-supported vigor. The intense aroma is reminiscent of cherry jam, herbs and some undergrowth. The palate is dense and ripe, while being harmonious and ehed tannic. - Gerardo [TS01/10]
